Law Librarian
Sample Company LLP, a Philadelphia-based law firm with a nationwide practice
emphasizing commercial litigation, seeks for immediate placement a full-time
Librarian with MLS or MSLS from an ALA-accredited institution with
two-to-four years law library experience with course work in legal resources to
provide library management and comprehensive legal and nonlegal reference
and research services using a variety of print and online resources such as
LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, Courtlink, and the Internet.
Responsibilities include
performing computer-assisted and manual research for attorneys in various
subject areas including legal, business, legislative, medical and
scientific; acting as liaison between attorneys and outside resources for
additional reference needs; ability to handle a variety of professional,
administrative and technical services tasks such as budgeting, collection
development and processing, contract negotiation with vendors, invoices, and other
general administrative duties.
The qualified individual
should be service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability
to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work
environment. S/he should possess sufficient technology background to be
able to assess, implement, and maintain electronic media.
