Special message regarding GPLLA’s response to COVID-19 and our 50th Anniversary

20 Mar 2020 9:30 PM | Anonymous

Dear GPLLA Members,

GPLLA is committed to protecting the health and safety of our members and colleagues during these uncertain times. At this time, we have chosen to cancel all in-person events until the city of Philadelphia lifts the current coronavirus restrictions.  Members with questions about AALL’s response and the annual meeting should refer to the AALL Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates and Resources page.

This also means that we have decided to postpone the GPLLA 50th Anniversary Dinner until further notice.

GPLLA’s founding meeting was held on March 10, 1970 and was organized by Susan G. Alford and Vicki M. Ward. Ms. Alford served as GPLLA’s first president from 1970-1971 and was succeeded by Ms. Ward who served as president from 1971-1972. We will gather as an association and celebrate our organization’s first 50 years and all the members who have contributed to its longevity and support of the profession as soon as it is safe to do so.  We will share further details with everyone as soon as we are able.

If anyone has questions about GPLLA events, please reach out to any of the board members.

Thank you for your continued support and wishing you all safety and good health.

Janet Peros

GPLLA President 2019-2020
